Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe comes from a multi-cultural family. She was born within South London. Both her parents have both been English. She went to The Brit School when she was fourteen years old. In London, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was earned. She was a part of various stage productions during her school days, including King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began acting with Storm Damage. Since then, she's been making appearances in guest roles in films like Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe made her debut motion picture role in the Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. Following this acclaim, she was cast as Elisha on her role on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as in six episodes Trexx as well as Flipside. Madekwe played Bambi in the ITV2 show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was the main character on How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others. The comedy that was released in 2008. Her credits in the theatre are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC show The Beautiful Life. The two-episode series aired for just 2 weeks at The CW and then it ended. The actress was selected in February 2011, as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. The show premiered in May 2013 and it was revealed that Madekwe, who had been a series regular in the past two seasons, would be leaving the show with a guest appearance on the first episode of the season's new episode. Between 2014 and 2016, she starred in Salem on the CW as Tituba. Madekwe and her partner for many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wed in June of 2012. They worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He was also a part of the cast alongside Madekwe on Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actor who was raised by an extended family. She was born to Patty and Roy Leggat. Her parents, Roy and Patty, as well as her four brothers, Brett, Todd, and Bram who were also present. Ashley's sports brothers played baseball during summers and hockey during winters. Ashley was never a walker, she was a dancer, and at the age of 2 1/2 years old she began Baby Ballet -and she fell in love. Ashley began to be a dancer immediately after that. Ashley was a competitor in ballet, tap and jazz in the high divisions. She also won the top awards for soloists in every major dance contests, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
