Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Jayek Jimenez (born September 2, 1966)[3][4][5[5] is a Mexican and American actor and film producer. Her career began in Mexico with leading roles in the Telenovela Teresa (1989-1991) as in the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) and for which she earned an Ariel Award nomination. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) were but a few of her many Hollywood credits. Hayek's portrayal of painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002), which she also wrote and directed, was the first Mexican actress to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress[6as well as earning her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek continued to make films and acted in action-oriented film Once Upon a Time in Mexico in subsequent years.
